Dr. Omar Lateef: Healthcare leader? Chief change agent? How about both?

Disruptive waves within the healthcare industry continue to ripple as tech innovators imagine new ways to improve the patient experience.

But dramatic change within a regulated industry isn’t always easy. What helps is having leaders who move with conviction toward change.

Dr. Bruce Meyer, President of Jefferson Health in Philadelphia—Tendo’s first Foundational Customer—says, “We have decided, as an organization, that innovation that enhances the quality of care and the quality of work life for our staff is a crucial part of how we want to work in the future and in the present.” 

And according to Dr. Omar Lateef, President and CEO of Rush University Medical Center, “Each organization has to decide how to best equip themselves for changes in the future. If you don’t have the infrastructure or the knowledge to do it, then you should create a role to oversee that, whatever you want to call it.”
